CALL TO WORSHIP arr. Sorenson
“Brethren, We Have Met To Worship”
HYMN AND PRAISE SONGS
“How Deep The Father’s Love for Us”
How deep the Father's love for us, How vast beyond all measure,
That He would give His only Son To make a wretch His treasure.
How great the pain of searing loss; The Father turns His face away,
As wounds which mar the chosen One bring many sons to glory.
Behold the Man upon a cross, My sin upon His shoulders;
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers.
It was God’s plan that held Him there Until it was accomplished;
His dying breath has brought me life I know that it is finished.
I will not boast in anything, No gifts, no powr's, no wisdom;
But I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection.
Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer.
But this I know with all my heart; His wounds have paid my ransom.
Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer.
But this I know with all my heart; His wounds have paid my ransom.
“Man of Sorrows”
Man of Sorrows! What a name For the Son of God, who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim: Hallelujah! what a Savior!
Bearing shame and scoffing rude, In my place condemned he stood,
Sealed my pardon with his blood: Hallelujah! what a Savior!
Guilty, vile, and helpless we: Spotless Lamb of God was He;
Full atonement! Can it be? Hallelujah! what a Savior!
Lifted up was he to die, “It is finished!” was his cry;
Now in heav’n exalted high: Hallelujah! what a Savior!
When he comes, our glorious King, All his ransomed home to bring,
Then anew this song we’ll sing: Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! what a Savior!

God’s Word
John 3:1-7
3 Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish
ruling council. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher
who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were
not with him.” 3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God
unless they are born again.” 4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus
asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” 5
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are
born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7
You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’
